Benefits of being a Service Dog, I never really have to be apart from my person, I get to go on tons of car rides, I get to meet lots of people, and I get treats!
I got to run errands with my grandma and my mom yesterday. Costco, and then a trip to the nail salon. I love Costco! Costco is the best. I get lots of "OMG A PUPPY!" and "Aww he's so cute, can I pet him?" Mom is a sucker and always lets them pet me, but I love it so it works out.
The nail salon on the other hand is SUPER BORING! Ugh I have to like sit and behave for so long. And for some reason I don't get as much attention and pets from the nail salon. The nail ladies keep the humans hands hostage! It is a true crime, I'm convinced!
At the nail salon someone came in and felt both mom and grandma's energy change. Mom's heart beat increased in speed and grandma seemed unfordable. (It's very important for me to pick up on these things.) In noticing these signs I immediately stepped in as a distraction for the problem. I do whatever I have to to make sure that their energy and everything go back to normal.
Most of the time it works, but there are times that it doesn't, so I make sure to try harder next time. Only cause I don't like seeing what happens to mom when it doesn't work.
Mom sometimes gets rude comments from people when she takes me places, but she just puts them in their place and smiles down at me. I give her the confidence she needs to live life and stand up to people so she never gets taken advantage of ever again.
I'm kind of a big deal...
